At Olive Health & Travel Clinic we offer the full range of blood tests.
Our nurses and phlebotomists can see you at any time during clinic hours or even offer you a home-visit to take your bloods.
Turn around time (TAT) for results will depend on the type of blood test you have requested and the time samples have been taken. Results are normally issued within 24 hours, but samples taken on a weekend may take 48 hours.
Please note:
- Blood testing for Tuberculosis takes an additional day to process.
- Abnormal results should be referred to your GP for further management, or you can opt to see our private doctor.

Mobile Phlebotomy
In simple terms, we come to you to take your private blood tests samples. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it’s from the comfort of your own home.
This service is available for both Private blood testing services and for NHS patients with a blood tests request form from their GP.
There could be a number of reasons why you can’t get to a hospital or private blood tests centre. i.e. you could be homebound, have a busy work schedule, have family commitments preventing you from finding the time, or simply prefer the comfort of staying home! Whatever your reason, beat the waiting times, travelling efforts and parking costs by simply booking a home visit.
For NHS patients: Your results will be available from your GP as normal.
For Private patients: Your results will be issued to you within 24-48 hours, depending on the type blood test and time of sample collection.

Distance covered
For NHS patients, we are currently only covering our local areas. If your local hospital is one of the following, we will be able to collect your samples for you:
- King George Hospital
- Whipps Cross Hospital
For private patients, our standard charge is applicable if you fall within the boroughs of Barking, Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Newham. If you are outside of these boroughs, there will be an additional mileage + travel-time charge. Please provide us with your postcode and we will quote you the total cost accordingly.
We also provide occupational health blood testing and vaccination services to groups of people at any location. Please call us for a quotation.
